Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for services

Quality methods generally are developed in production and are later "translated" for services. That does not allways make them very popular in services because very often examples come from the industrial world and the terminology is also very often strange to services.

That is true for Lean and Six Sigma as well. “Services” is off course a veru broad term and in environments with a lot of data (back office in banking for instance), the statistical nature of Six Sigma can be very useful. To study the flow of a document through an organization a Lean tool like Value Stream Mapping is perfectly suited.
